Have you ever encountered challenges of installing Cat.6A cable with wooden reels and spools in the field? 

Reels and spools are sometimes awkward to carry, a pain to set up and often require extra equipment to make their use easier. Besides, they tend to roll, fall off shelves and are difficult to inventory, ship and stack.

We heard all of your voices! CTi’s Cat.6A cables are now available in its newly developed Reel in Box & REELEX Solution, designed to be less bulky, lightweight and easy to handle. Because these cartons design are cubical, they are able to stack and display better than reels and spools. These reel-less solutions aim to not only simplify your cable management and installation, but also improve transportation efficiencies. 


Reel in Box

CTi’s newly developed RIB (Reel in Box) is designed for Cat.6A cables and above category solid cables with outer diameter up to 7.2mm. Unlike conventional packaging reel and spool, this C6A’s RIB design makes your cabling installation easier, more time-saving and convenient, eliminating any need for pay-off racks. 

The design is composed of Plastic Reel, Plastic Racks and RIB carton. The holding part is at back side of the box, which is easy to carry. What’s more, to reduce the risk of cable tangling, CTi’s RIB design features with its special braking function, helping to alleviate the rolling speed while your cable is being intensely pulled out in the field.

REELEX Box

Traditionally, Cat.6A cables have always been supplied on reel, spool and drums. Cat.6A cables historically has not been supplied in a box owing to the sensitivity of the cable and the transmission performance requirements. Nevertheless, manufacturing of CTi’s C6A cable has improved over the years where CTi is now at a point that we can effectively offer this cable in a Reelex II Box.

With Reelex’s unique coiling and carton design, the Cat.6A cable dispenses from the inside-out without twists, tangles, snags or overruns, and no need for payoff stands or brakes. More importantly, compared to reels and spools, REELEX box allows jobsite waste volume to be greatly reduced and is 100% recyclable.
